Can I use Suave Weather Protection 365 Cream Gel on dry hair?

I just bought this product and it says to apply to damp hair then style as usual. But I shower in the evenings then style/straighten my hair in the morning. So when do I apply it? After my shower when my hair is damp? Or in the morning before straightening my hair?
